Community

Good causes. Great effects.

The New Zealand Couriers team is intrinsically linked to a number of important local community charitable causes throughout our country.

At a national level, we support five major not-for-profits: Child Cancer Foundation, Keep New Zealand Beautiful, The Hearing House, The RSA and KidsCan. Here, our efforts go beyond simple donations – we always look to see how we can be involved with practical, hands-on help and support.

This approach includes logistical support, team involvement, monetary donations and free delivery services. We roll up our sleeves and get involved with environmental clean-ups, loud shirts and much, much more. And via our network of motivated and passionate individuals, we effectively advocate for these worthy causes – encouraging other individuals and businesses to get stuck in and help out too. New Zealand Couriers take great pride in positively impacting local communities throughout Aotearoa.

Child Cancer Foundation

We are proud to have a long-standing relationship with the Child Cancer Foundation. Each year we provide them with a free mail collection service, reduced and free courier rates throughout the year and donations to programs such as Stars of Courage. The money we raise helps fund the $6 million required annually for child and family support services in New Zealand.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful

We are hugely grateful for what Keep New Zealand Beautiful does for our country. Since 2001, along with regular monetary donations, we’ve also rolled up our sleeves in the annual Clean Up Week and provided valuable savings with reduced courier rates. Over the years, sponsorship of the “Volunteer of the Month”, “Best Towns and Cities”, and “Best Community / Environmentally Minded Initiative” categories has also helped to support those so generously giving their time to and, in doing so, encourages others to join the cause.

The Hearing House

The annual appeal for The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Loud Shirt Day is a fantastic opportunity to support two crucial, independent charities. Helping deaf children with cochlear implants or hearing aids to listen and speak like their hearing peers is essential, vital work. Over the years, we have helped by distributing the Loud Shirt Day registration packs nationwide and, of course, registering, donating and wearing ‘high-volume’ shirts each year.

KidsCan

It is an absolute privilege for us to work with KidsCan to make New Zealand a better place for Kiwi kids affected by poverty.

KidsCan help tamariki experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes and health products to over 1000 schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand.

With the weather getting colder and the cost-of-living crisis cutting deep, these essentials are even more important, allowing kids to participate in learning and have the opportunity for a better future.

RSA

The relationship between Royal New Zealand Returned Services Association (RSA) and New Zealand Couriers is based on deep respect and gratitude for those who have served our country.

New Zealand Couriers is the RNZRSA’s Poppy Partner – and our teams work hard to ensure the Poppys and related materials are moved all around New Zealand as needed. We are also a general Partner of the RNZRSA.
