Packs and tickets
To send in New Zealand you'll either need to place courier tickets on your item or put it in an Express pack. Here's how to choose and use the right one for you.
Courier tickets
Get the right type and quantity for your item.
Our ticketing system allows you to send items nationwide. Which ticket to select and how many to use will depend upon the destination, weight and size of your item. Have a read of the information below as a guide or use our Ticket Calculator.
Which ticket do I need?
The table below lists our standard tickets but other tickets may be available in some areas. Our Delivery maps and schedules will help you determine which is the appropriate colour coded ticket(s) for your destination. If you have any doubts get in touch with your local branch.
How many tickets do I need?
It certainly pays to check. The number of tickets required is based on the weight or dimensions of your item – whichever is greater. Don't forget to include a rural or Saturday delivery ticket if you are using these services. Use our Ticket Calculator or the table below to work out how many tickets to use.
If sending Dangerous Goods ensure a Dangerous Goods ticket is used and all necessary paperwork supplied.

(If item is over 25kg, then two tickets are required)How to Calculate Size
Use the following calculation A x B x C = m3
e.g. 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.5 = 0.045m3Use the following calculation A x A x C = m3
e.g. 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.5 = 0.045m3- Take the measurement of each dimension in centimetres
- Calculate size = Length x Width x Height (Max
= 0.100m3)
E.g. Length 50cm, Width 30cm, Height 30cm = 0.5 x 0.3 x 0.3 = 0.045m3 - If you don't know the weight you can estimate
it
Calculating Weight = Length x Width x Height x 200 (Max = 25kgs)
E.g. Length 50cm, Width 30cm, Height 30cm = 0.5 x 0.3 x 0.3 = 0.045 x 200 = 9kgs - From the above table identify your destination
and how many tickets should be applied
E.g. If you were sending a 0.045m3 item to a longhaul destination and it weighed 9kg you would need 2 tickets.
