In the three-week lead-up to Christmas in 2022, Kiwis spent $2.89 billion, an increase of 0.8% compared to prior years. As part of our dedication to performing at the highest level and providing industry-leading service, we conduct independent Residential Network Delivery Comparison Tests.

Since January 2020, we have commissioned eight independent Residential Network Pressure Tests through Mobius Research & Strategy.

What happened?

On 19 December 2022, 396 parcels were sent from Auckland to identical residential addresses around New Zealand. 198 parcels through New Zealand Couriers and 198 parcels through NZ Post.

The Results

During the Christmas pressure test, New Zealand Couriers on average delivered 19 hours and 36 minutes earlier than NZ Post to the same residential addresses.

On average, our 2022 results found that New Zealand Couriers delivered parcels to residential addresses 56% faster than NZ Post. Download our full report to find out more details.

All courier networks were under pressure in 2022, and New Zealand Couriers demonstrated a consistently superior service standard within our industry.
