We always try and get your parcel into your hands but sometimes, when you’re not home, everything doesn’t go according to plan. If this is the case we will leave one of these two cards:

The options for receiving your item:

  • Collection from our branch: Stop by and pick up your item.
  • Redirection: Get it delivered to an alternative address (i.e. a workplace).
  • Redelivery: Have the item delivered to the same address again.
  • Redeliver to Agent: Have it delivered to a New Zealand Couriers agent.

Authority to leave

Never miss a delivery

For many areas in New Zealand we offer our customers with the chance to receive packages even when they’re not home. This ‘Authority to Leave’ system is quick to join and easy to manage, and it means we can then leave your package at the agreed address without obtaining a signature.

After signing up we provide you with a barcode to place at suitable location on your property (somewhere dry and safe). The courier driver then will scan the barcode for you to track and trace the arrival of your package. So you’ll know when it’s ready and waiting.

Provide us with Authority to Leave your item at a safe location at your delivery address. To do this complete the Authority to Leave form and send this to your local branch. This Authority would relate to any item addressed to your home.
